Aaron went to the store for us on Saturday. When that happens, we have all kinds of junk food that we never buy. The shopping list was as follows:
broccoli
cauliflower
apples
bananas
dryer sheets
Tylenol
$68.00 later, we have all of these items PLUS:
Polish sausage
sauerkraut
oreo cookies
an 11 outlet power surge protector
a few other items I can't remember and Aaron won't tell me because I'm out to embarass him
WELL, everyone cheered very loud cheers at the sight of the oreo cookies. Today while we were eating them, I asked each person what their favorite way to eat an oreo was. I totally expected to hear that "dunking" was the favorite, but the squirts had absolutely no idea that there were specific ways that you could eat an oreo. They giggled and laughed at me when I suggested all the different ways possible to eat these magnificent cookies, as they dunked and munched their way through their oreos.

Aaron says his favorite way to eat oreos is to put an entire oreo in his mouth, take a drink of milk and let the cookie become soggy with the milk inside of his mouth while chewing. If you know Aaron, that isn't at all surprising. I have no photos of Aaron because he left to do some church things while the rest of us enjoyed our dessert.
My favorite way to eat an oreo is to eat it like a sandwich, taking about 3 bites per oreo. That officially makes me the most boring member of the family.
Landon: Definitely a dunker
Instead of asking Corinne HOW she likes to eat oreos, I should have asked her WHERE she likes to eat her oreos. She hunkered down under the table as if she needed a protective barrier between her and the rest of the world so she could enjoy without threats of "oreo theives"
All in all, what really matters is if you have on your spiderman or tinkerbell slippers while you are eating oreos. That makes it a REALLY nice day.

I am laughing outloud at my brother going to the store and the thought process behind getting the "extra items" - not just because I want to make fun of my brother, but because it reminds me of when Brian is at the store with me and we get to the checkout and I notice things in the cart that I know I didn't put in there! Just funny.

The grocery store story reminds me a bit too much of Rob. Humm, must run in their genes! Rob could stroll the store for over an hour looking at everything and buying very random items. Though it has introduced me to new food items. Whereas I have a list, stick to it and try to get out as fast as possible. I guess that is mostly because I have 2 kids with me while grocery shopping!
Rob and Evan are official oreo dunkers. They both were eating and dunking oreos last night. I am not a huge oreo fan, but I do love Homemade Oreos!! Aaron's way of eating oreos fits his personality perfectly!!

I abosolutely love this post! It is hilarious about the grocery list... Aaron sounds like my mom's son after all! AND the oreo moment is just all too perfect. IT is almost like you are making one of those really cute and touching commercials.
